The tradition of viticulture and winemaking on the island of Korčula dates back to the time of the ancient Greeks (4th century BC). The island of Korčula is known for its autochthonous grape varieties and excellent white wines. Grk is grown in Lumbarda, on the eastern part of the island, while pošip and rukatac are grown in the vineyards of Čara and Smokvice. Of the black varieties, plavac mali is the most widespread. Taste local wines in the authentic ambiance of the winery!
Fertile fields, a mild climate and an abundance of seafood have created imaginative dishes from ingredients close at hand. At sunset, relax with a glass of top-quality wine of the autochthonous variety Pošip or Greek rukatac, which are ideally combined with traditional meat or seafood dishes.
Taste prosecco, a dessert wine that is traditionally produced in Dalmatia and on the islands from dried grapes of autochthonous varieties, as well as fragrant brandy made from herbs, carob and rose.
